Coronavirus Update
Suspending In-Person Worship Church
If you’ve been watching the news you are probably aware that the coronavirus is spreading and rates continue to rise throughout our state, county, and city.
In consultation with several informed sources and folks sympathetic to our cause as a worshiping community, we are going to suspend in-person worship.
While our gatherings have been below the threshold of 25% capacity, we also want to do our part to help crush the curve in our community. I want to reinforce how safe our in-person services have been over the last few weeks. We have been surpassing ALL requirements and taking it to the next level.
For now, we want you to know…
1. You are NOT alone. You are loved AND cherished. If you need anything from staff, your deacon, or our church you can reach out to us via email.
2. This decision is not based on anyone (that we know of) testing positive to the coronavirus.
3. You can participate in worship digitally (which we’ve continued to produce weekly) on Sunday morning. This week’s service will be uploaded to our website or you can click here!
4. Important note: The indoor and outdoor regulations brought forth by government officials applies to informalgatherings at homes. This does NOT apply to us, a congregation, because we are under different regulations that require masks and social distancing (similar to retail, etc.).
Essential Services in Our Building NOT Closing:
· AA’s will continue to meet weekly in our Fellowship Hall with capacity regulations, masks, and social distancing.
· Food Pantry will continue to serve our community in our outdoor/drive-thru pantry every Tuesday morning. We are committed to serving our community in this fashion no matter the weather. It is essential and one of our God assignments in the community.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions or comments. I’m certain there are holes in our thinking BUT we are doing the best we can with the information and details given. I appreciate your grace. Everyone is tired of COVID but we must stay diligent and informed. I commit to stay ever present so we do not do anything intentionally or unintentionally to put each other at unnecessary risk.
